Responsibilities:
Responsible for all aspects of manufacturing including optimization and continuous improvementResponsible for full and complete training of all employees in the departmentReviews production and operating reports and is responsible for departmental cost controlResolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delaysMonitors Company Quality Control programs to maintain company and USDA requirementsInspects machines and equipment to ensure specific operational performance and optimum utilizationMaintains consistent communication and fosters teamwork between all personnel, departments and shiftsProvides a safe working environmentActively participate in and/or lead a plant safety teamAssume personal responsibility to ensure a safe and healthy workplace for everyoneAdhere to all safety policies and procedures and incorporate safety and healthy in all jobs and tasksAdhere to Quality work practices, follow all GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintainedReport to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety and qualityEnsure regulatory compliance at all times13Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED:
2- 3 years supervisory experience, preferably in the food industry.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
Must have excellent communication, interpersonal and teaming skillsAbility to prioritize and follow directions with little/no supervisionMust have the strong organizational skills and ability to do multi-functional tasksMust be able to work overtime and/or weekends when requiredCollege degree preferredBi-lingual (Spanish-English) is a plus.
